Bryan "Mac" Glenn McDonald, 62, of Fredericksburg, TX, passed away on May 16, 2025, in Kerrville. He was born on May 27, 1962, in Houston, Texas to James Burton McDonald and Janice Junell McDonald. He married the love of his life, Lisa Wimberley Cook, on March 12, 2022, in Kerrville, Texas.

Bryan graduated from Tivy High School in 1980 and went on to attend Texas A&M University. Mac worked in the automotive industry nearly all of his life in many different roles. The most recent being the Service Manager at Balser's Northside where he worked for 27 years.

Bryan enjoyed spending time with his family who meant everything to him. He also enjoyed the finer things in life, a good cigar, traveling, and caring for his llamas at his home in Fredericksburg.

Bryan was preceded in death by his parents, James and Janice McDonald.

Bryan is survived by his wife, Lisa McDonald. He loved her with his whole heart and being. He poured himself into making her feel so treasured and loved every single minute. He did everything in his power to make her life better. Bryan called her his "forever love."

Bryan is survived by his daughter, Ashley (Kyle) McCormick of Kerrville and grandson, Beau McCormick, whom he treasured dearly, being "Pops" to Beau was a true highlight of his life; and by his stepsons, Cameron (Emily) Cook of San Antonio and Collin (Tori) Cook of Austin. If Bryan loved you, you just knew, he was so open to sharing with his family how special each one of them were to him. He is also survived by his sister, Karin (Oscar) Reyna of Pflugerville; niece, Jessica (Benjamin) Thrasher and son, Carter Thrasher of Midlothian; and nephew, Mason (Cathryn) Reyna of Decorah, Iowa.

Bryan was blessed by a wonderful work family, Bobby and Debbie Balser, Matt Jarrett, Chad Lott, and Dawn Adams, who he shared so many years with.

A celebration of life will be held at his home 3157 Old San Antonio Rd., Fredericksburg on June 7th at 5:00pm. All are welcome to come share an evening of remembrance for such a wonderful man.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the NICU at Christus Children's Hospital in San Antonio, or the charity of one's choice.

I met Mac about 15 years ago when I was caring for his father. Mac was always so sweet. I always enjoyed when we would see each other whether it being at HEB, in town or when I would come by Balser's for car advice. He will be missed dearly.

Mac was always very nice and cheerful each time I saw him. I delivered auto parts for Napa to his shop. He will be greatly missed. Prayers for his family and friends.
