Seaborn Eastland Connally, 78, of The Woodlands, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, in Kerrville, Texas. He was born in Waco, Texas to Herschel Frank Connally, Jr., M.D. and Frances Louise Eastland on August 22, 1946.

Seaborn ''Seab'' graduated in 1964 from Richfield High School in Waco. He went on to attend the University of Texas at El Paso where he obtained a degree in Business in 1969. He entered the Department Public Safety Academy and upon graduation began working as a DPS Highway Patrol Officer. He eventually moved on to the Criminal Intelligence division and was stationed in Huntsville. He retired as a Sergeant after 27 years of service and was commissioned by the Special Texas Rangers until 2021.

Seab thoroughly enjoyed working as a peace officer and was involved in quite a few prominent investigations and situations, including the 1974 Huntsville prison siege where he told stories of being in the Walls Unit for almost two weeks. Later in his career he was tasked with providing security and driving governors Ann Richards and George W. Bush.

Seab was a devoted son, brother, father and a friend to everyone. Just about anywhere he went he would run into someone he knew. He loved spending afternoons on his boat waterskiing with friends and family. A talented musician, Seab could play just about anything by ear on the piano, organ or guitar.

Seab was preceded in death by father, Herschel Frank Connally, Jr., M.D.; mother, Frances Louise Eastland; and nephew, Herschel Frank Connally IV. He is survived by daughters, Cara Connally Matocha (Christopher) and Sara Connally; brother, Hershel Frank Connally III (Susan); granddaughter, Chloe M. Matocha; and nieces, Catherine Kane and Melody Defenbaugh (John, daughter Tiffany).

Visitation will be from 4-6pm on Monday, June 2, 2025, at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Grimes Funeral Chapels, in Kerrville, with Dr. Robert Richarz officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 1pm.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to their church family at Living Waters Outreach, the amazing nurses and doctors of Peterson Hospice, and the wonderfully caring staff of New Haven Memory Care.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Living Waters Outreach, P.O Box 534, Utopia, TX 78884.
