Dorothy Mae Allsup, age 83, passed from this world peacefully on September 14, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born Dorothy Mae Tarter on February 23, 1942, in Colorado City, Texas.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Chrystal Aline Tarter; her brother, Kenneth Tarter; and her husband, Martin Everett Allsup Jr.
Dorothy and Martin moved to Kerrville in 1967 and lived, raising their family, for two decades. While living in Kerrville, Dorothy attended the First Assembly of God Church.
Dorothy is survived by her three daughters and their families: Jolynda Allsup Trevino, Marcia Dickson and husband Mark Dickson, and J'Lene Allsup; five grandchildren, Michael Trevino Jr., Amanda Trevino, Joseph Trevino, Jessica Brooks, and Ian Dickson; and three great-grandchildren, Lathan Enriquez, Diana Trevino, and Timothy Lang.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 19, 2025, at Grimes Funeral Chapels, officiated by Rev. Frankie Enloe, immediately followed by burial at Sunset Cemetery in Mountain Home.

Jay, Jolenda, and Marcia, im sooo sorry for the loss of your mom. I have always adored your mom. I remember yall babysitting me and Janeese. Your mom had such a gentle and quite spirit. Always calm. Never raised a finger at anyone. Im glad she is at peace now. I will be on my knees for each and every one of yall. Love yall.
