A lifelong teacher, Laura was dedicated to advancing education, especially in the field of mathematics. Over her 29 years of teaching at Tivy High School, she impacted many young lives. In her retirement, Laura enjoyed working at the church she attended, gardening, and enjoying the wildlife around her, especially her hummingbirds.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara, her son, Thomas, and granddaughters Kaiya and Claire.
A celebration of her life will be held at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, Laura wanted donations made to the Comfort Volunteer Fire Department, Hill Country Memorial Hospital, Kerrville First United Methodist Church or Global United Methodist Church of Kerrville.

Dear TK and Barbara, I’m so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. Sadly we have a Seidensticker reunion Saturday that starts at 11:00 so I can’t attend the service. I’d bring her Mary Kay lotions every 4 to 6 months and stay to visit for 20-30 minutes. Charlie and I send our condolences.

My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. Your Mom was my favorite teacher at Tivy, I had her 4 years and I looked forward to her class everyday. She made MOCE fun and I have carried that with me all my life and tried to make sure my kids knew this. My heart goes out to each of you.
