Robert Starks, 69, of Kerrville, TX, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, in Kerrville, TX. He was born in Denver, CO to Charles and Marie Starks on August 8, 1956. He married Claire Fleming on June 24, 1995, in Atlanta, GA. He and Claire raised his daughter, Claire Marie, in Thomas, OK and subsequently Kerrville, TX.

He attended Weld Central High School in Keenesburg, CO. He graduated from the University of Colorado-Boulder in 1978. He was a master carpenter, designing and creating unique custom furniture and cabinets in his own shop called Wee Woods, which expanded to become Bob Starks Woodworking. He had fond memories of his initial mentorship at Heartwood in Boulder, CO. Architects, builders, customers, family, and friends all over the United States have valued, respected, and loved his work for over 40 years. Everyone who knew Bob always got the chance to laugh, sing, and be merry because of the music, delight, and empathy that he created and shared with everyone.

Robert was preceded in death by his siblings, Mae, Kevin, and Jerry Starks.

He is survived by his siblings, Margo and Joe Hayes, Michael Starks, Betsy Starks, Roy and Cynthia Starks, and Joan and Johnny Bumpas; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as his wife and daughter, Claire and Claire Marie Starks.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, October 24, 2025, at Notre Dame Catholic Church.

Memorials may be given to the American Kidney Fund. Claire and Claire Marie wish to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to the nurses and staff at DaVita Dialysis.
