Marilyn Elaine Owens of Kerrville passed away October 18, 2025, in San Antonio, at the age of 82.
She was born September 7, 1943, in San Antonio to Roy and Margaret Owens. Her grandparents, A.J. and Annie Owens, moved the family from Lockhart to Sabinal in a covered wagon.
Marilyn grew up on the family farm south of Sabinal. After completing college in San Marcos, she returned home to teach school and continued the family business of farming and cattle.
She is survived by numerous cousins.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, October 24, 2025, at the Sabinal Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Sabinal Cemetery.

I’m so sorry to learn of Marilyn’s passing. I met Marilyn when we were kids & my grandfather took me to the Owens ranch to hunt. She was a little older but I thought she was a beautiful girl. She was always so much fun. I haven’t seen her in many years & then to learn she was living here in Kerrville & I never got a chance to visit with her.
