Leonard ''Dale'' Perkins, 78, of Kerrville, passed away February 4, 2026, at home in Kerrville. He was born July 13, 1947, in Honey Grove, TX to Leland and Charlene Perkins. He married Ruth Evelyn Knight on August 8, 1970, in Mesquite, TX.

He joined the Army in 1963 and became officer 1st Lieutenant in 1965. He served two tours in South Korea and was discharged in 1968. He worked as an x-ray technician for 25 years. He worked at Keystone Resorts for a couple years as a lift maintenance operator before suffering cardiomyopathy. He moved to Kerrville in late 2000.

He was preceded in death by mother, Charlene; father, Leland; and brother, Alfred.

Survivors include wife, Ruth; daughter, Linda; stepdaughter, Cheryl Turner; sisters, Reata and Karen; and many nephews and nieces.

Memorial services will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Grimes Funeral Chapels.

I was so sad to hear about your passing. I am thankful for all the warm memories I have of you from family gatherings in my lifetime.
