William J. Leslie Jr. (Bill) passed away peacefully surrounded by his family March 1, 2026.

Bill was born Oct. 4, 1931, to William J. Leslie (Joe) and Willie Arlona Hedrick (Lona) in Snomac, Seminole Co., OK.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy for 3 years. Bill has been a member of the Church of Christ since his teens, serving in many capacities wherever he lived, recently at Riverside Church of Christ, Kerrville. He was a scoutmaster, loved camping, gardening, and woodworking. He was also proud of his Choctaw heritage.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Mary Gene Hamilton; and a grandson, Jon Leslie.

Along with his wife, Janet C. Jennings who he married in 1954, he is survived by his children, Jon Steven (Steve) Leslie (Tina), Lois A. McBride (Steve), William A. (Bill) Leslie (Mellanie); 8 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Riverside Church of Christ on Harper Road.

The family requests in lieu of flowers donations could be made to the charity of your choice or the Church.

The family also wishes to thank all of you who visited, prayed, and cared for him during his last few months. You are a blessing.

Brother Bill was also a gifted song leader in the Lord's Church. We are saddened to hear that he has passed from this life, but rejoice with the angels that he is now at home.
