Wendy Ellen Lehmann, 69, of Kerrville, Texas passed away on March 18, 2026. She was the youngest of three children, born on March 13, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois, to Robert and Mary Ellen Luedtke.
Wendy attended Lake Zurich High School in a suburb of Chicago and later worked in the field of finance in both Illinois and Texas. A severe winter snowstorm motivated her to join her parents after they retired in Kerrville. It was there that she met the love of her life, David Lehmann. They were married on May 7, 1983 and raised their three children in Kerrville.
She most enjoyed spending time at her lake house and traveling the world with family and friends. She will be remembered for her fun-loving spirit, generous nature, and witty sense of humor, but most of all, for being a devoted wife and an amazing mother. Her greatest joy was her family, and she took pride in creating a home filled with laughter. She had a way of making people feel welcome and was often considered a second mom to many.
Wendy was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Laura Luedtke, formerly of Kerrville. She is survived by her husband, David; her three children: Gene (Brittany) Lehmann, Darby Lehmann Campbell (Tyler), and Corey (Brady) Lehmann; her sister, Kathleen Ellis; and numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Known as ''GranBee,'' she was a loving grandmother to Carson Lehmann, Parker Campbell, Elle Campbell, Walker Lehmann, Cali Lehmann, Reagan Lehmann, and Channing Campbell.
A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Kerrville on April 2, 2026, at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kerrville First United Methodist Church.
